Well last week they got started on the lower roof and were able to get most of it done, with the gutter and fascia going up on Thursday and the majority of the tiles were done on the Friday. They are due back again today to finish off the tiles and then the rest of the bricks are due to be cleaned along with the carpenters to do the lower eaves.
We also receieved our kitchen plans last week and with only a couple of small changes (like cupboards to pot drawers) we were able to sign that off on Friday which means the sparky can be booked for his rough in sometime in the next week or so. After that they can then put the insulation in followed by the gyprock. We are getting an inspection done by Howard so that will be in there somewhere as well.
On Saturday my cabler and I went back to the house and ran all the cabling for the security system that we are installing instead of the standard one which took most of the day and it felt really good to be back at the house working on it again. We only have one or two things to tidy up prior to the gyprock going up and then nothing till after the painting has been done when we will have to do the fitout.
According to our SS the plan is to get the whole house plastered by the time they shut down for Xmas and if everything goes smoothly perhaps even a little more done, but if they get the plastering done I will be happy at this point.
Of couse I have some pics to show the progress ;)
All the scaffloding came down last week.

Data Networking
Well on Sunday our cabler and I went out to the house and ran all the network cabling (all 23 points of it) through to where the rack is going to be located under the stairs. I must say that it felt really good to be working on our house rather than just looking at it :)
Whilst we were there we also ran all the speaker wire for the Home Theatre as well as for the alfresco. We also planned the run for the HDMI in the HT room however the cable itself will not be put in place till right at the last minute to avoid anyone just deciding to help themselves to my new cable.
No pics at this stage as I forgot to take the camera (slaps forhead) but I will make sure we get some shots of it on our next visit later in the week.

Pic Fest
Well we made it out to the block yesterday for our regular Wednesday visit and discovered that they had completed around half of the upper eaves along with around 1/3 of the cladding which was a bit of a surprise as we were not expecting the cladding to be done yet. Both sections appear to already be painted so perhaps they are booked for a second coat today as our SS mentioned the painters were booked for Wednesday...
Also while they were there it appears that all of the external door frames have been fitted along with the cavity sliding door in the laundry and they have also fitted some extra strips of timber between the studs where we may wish to wall mount a TV later which was a nice touch. They have also removed all of the supporting beams from within each room which were previously secured to the floor - this makes moving around the house so much easier and also gives you more of a feel as to how big each room is.
Now we just await the lower roof to be done so fingers crossed the weather starts to be a little more cooperative from here until Xmas.

Not a lot to update
Since our last update there have only been a couple of things done on our place - last week our airconditioning went in and according to our SS they started on our upper floor eaves yesterday and that the painters are booked for Thursday with the scaffold to come down on Friday for the lower roof to be done. Then next week the lower gutter/fascia and roof tiles are booked....however knowing our luck at the moment it will rain Thursday/Friday and push everything back.
We will be going out to the house on Wednesday to see the eaves and the aircon and will hopefully get a few pictures then.

There hasn't been a great deal of work done in the second half of the week - no doubt due to the constant rain interruptions, we will be doing the anti rain dance this week so that they can hopefully get more done and finish our roof off. After that it can rain as much as it likes as they will be working inside and undercover.
They were able to completely finish off the top floor roof tiles and have lowered the scaffolding to give the access to the eaves. Also the plumber has been and run all his pipework for all the bathrooms, showers etc and I must say it looks a little weird to see your houses "guts"

Roof started!
Well they finally started on our roof today and managed to get quite a bit done, from laying the sarking to getting 1/2 the tiles in place as well as getting the other 1/2 neatly stacked waiting to be finished off. Hopefully the top floor will be done today as it is supposed to rain later. Will probably go past on Wednesday after work to see what has been done.
